So, what exactly is a Conservatory of Music? It's an establishment to educate and form musical minds of all ages.
Being a student at the Conservatory does have its perks. Lessons are conveniently located at our ASO offices located in the oil center with access to our music library and resource center. In addition, students are admitted to Acadiana Symphony Orchestra concerts free of charge and have several opportunities to perform at concerts with the orchestra throughout the year. All students are encouraged to participate at semester-end recitals and ensembles such as the Prep Orchestra, Youth Orchestra and Acadiana Sings Choir.
