William Carl Groh was born in New Orleans and now lives in Lafayette, LA. He studied at Memphis Academy of Art, Memphis, TN, Academia del’arts, Florence, Italy, Old Lyme Academy, Old Lyme, CT, National Academy of Art and Design, New York, New York. He has also studied with Aaron Schilder as well as Frederick Taubes.
Although Mr. Groh works in all media, he prefers to paint in oil. His work has been shown in many prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian and National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.
