Celebrate life one concert at a time with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra this season. From otherworldly works like “Tchaikovsky and the Planets” to the timeless hits of Frank Sinatra and the Beatles, sounds of opera diva Angela Brown and accompaniment of local school choruses, our 2011-2012 season offers plenty of reasons to celebrate.
Celebrations are about family, fun, friends and laughter, so each concert can represent something different for each person. Whether attending with friends, taking a family member or child for the first time or marking a birthday or anniversary let the Symphony become part of your special day.

Chamber Series at AcA
I would like to invite you to celebrate life one concert at a time during each of our special programs this season. I hope that you will not only enjoy the large and powerful symphonic celebrations in the classical series but also will delight in the opportunity to savor our new cycle of chamber music. You will be able to experience the jewels of world-class chamber music the way it was meant to be: small ensembles, intimate space, perfect acoustics, and close contact with the performers. I will be hosting all of the programs and will guide the audience with insightful commentaries and intriguing and entertaining musical stories to make these special musical celebrations even more informative and enjoyable.
- Mariusz Smolij, ASO music director and conductor
