33rd Concert Season: Technology
Welcome to the 33rd concert season of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra (ASO)! We are excited to inform you that Season Tickets for our 2017/2018 Technology Season are NOW available.
Here is what our Maestro, Mariusz Smolij, says about our upcoming season of performances:
‘Along with the experience of great symphonic music and the best of orchestral repertoire, we will continue to explore the connections between the musical arts and the world of technology. In the second year of our STEAM artistic concept, several presentations will show how technology can influence musical creation, while some will solely focus on the timeless musical masterworks.
Since the invention of the earliest instruments and forms of computation, technology has been evolving at an ever-increasing speed. This evolution has greatly influenced the way we produce music and how we relate to it. ASO will collaborate with local and international artists to provide you with enlightening and entertaining musical experiences that will include repertoire ranging from the Renaissance period to the current decade. Inspired by the genius of Mozart, Mendelssohn or Shakespeare as well as the newest concepts of virtual reality, this is the season not to be missed!’
