About ASO's upcoming Concert Season
The Acadiana Symphony is a "per service" orchestra. Our 2010-2011 Concert Season includes 6 Masterworks, 2 Education concerts, 3 Runout concerts, Christmas and July 4 Pops concerts. Total number of services is approximately 35. Pay is $70/service (section) and $80/service (principal). Musicians who live over 50 miles from Lafayette receive $20 per diem. First-year contracts are always a "trial period". Permanent contracts may be issued after the first year.
